| HIDDEN WITHIN THE 13th HOUR
Throughout The 13th Hour you will come across a host of characters and locations, each of them unique but some with an echo in their name, an influence from some of film and literature's greatest visits to time travel.
And so as you read, see if you can find those names, they could be first, last, or nick names or a combination there of. Some obvious, some a bit more obscure, but each popular during their 'time'
So have fun as you read and the first five people who send me each and every name along with their prior incarnation (the name of the film, book, TV show, or story, etc...) via email below, will win a signed copy of The 13th Hour along with a Special Pocket Watch... where time runs backwards.

The official rules:
1) No purchase is necessary; 2) Contest begins December 29, 2009 all entries must be received via email of the above entry form by March 1, 2010; 3) One entry per household; 4) Five prizes will be awarded. The prize includes one hardcover edition of The 13th Hour signed by the author and one pocket watch. Approximate value of prize: $100.00; 5) Those entries that provide the corrrect names of the characters and corresponding works of fiction shall be entered in a random drawing to be conducted from the pool of fully correct entries. Winners will be notified via the email address provided at point of entry;
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to residents of the United States that are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. The Contest is not open to employees, volunteers, or interns of Atria Books or its affiliates and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, such employees, volunteers, or interns.
ODDS: Odds of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received.
WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE: The winners will be notified via email within the following two (2) weeks of the close of the contest.
Inability to reach a prizewinner by email after reasonable efforts may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners may waive their right to receive a prize. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release within 2 days, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may, at the sole discretion of the operator of this contest, result in winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to an alternate winner. Except where prohibited, participation in a Contest constitutes entrant's consent to the publication of his or her name and image in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.
PARTICIPATION: Participation in The 13th Hour Contest constitutes an agreement by each entrant to comply with these Official Contest Rules. By entering, participants further agree to be bound by the terms relating to the use of this website, including its Privacy Policy. In the event the Contest is compromised by causes beyond the reasonable control of the operator which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, operator reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, we reserves the right to award the prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By entering the Contest, entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney's fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses. Richard Doetsch will not be responsible for incomplete, illegible, or lost entries or for failure to receive entries due to technical failures of any kind, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. Richard Doetsch reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest. void where prohibited by law
